What it is

Inflammatory Arthritis of the Hip and Knee

Osteoarthritis is wear. Inflammatory arthritis is the immune system attacking the joint lining. The lining thickens, releases enzymes that eat cartilage and bone, and the joint fails from the inside.
Modern medications slow it dramatically, but joints damaged before treatment still need surgery.
