What it is

Ganglion Cyst Removal

A ganglion is a benign fluid-filled cyst that balloons out from a joint capsule or tendon sheath.
It can change size, ache with activity, or press on a nerve.Surgical excision removes the cyst and traces its stalk down to the joint, which is what reduces recurrence compared with draining it.
